Elastic Mind's You Noodle Results

There is a new online tool in beta right now called You Noodle that claims to be able to predict the success of a start-up company. Their Startup Predictor test that asks you some basic questions about your endeavour and then it predicts your company’s value in three years. I took a spin on it and had the viability of Elastic Mind rated.

I got a score of 238 out of 1000. Am I destined to fail? I looked into what the score means and I found this unsatisfactory answer:

We generate a score for every startup that is run through the Startup Predictor test. The YouNoodle Score acts like a personal credit score when a lender decides whether or not to take a risk and approve a loan. Based on a scale of 1,000, the score indicates the feasibility and promise of a startup based on a number of complex factors. The number provides an at-a-glance feel for a company’s future.

The site doesn’t tell you is what a favourable score is. How do I know if 238 is good or bad? It sounds bad but I am an optimist so maybe it’s great.

I also wondering, what if you ultimate goal for your company isn’t to rule the world and make millions? Apparently I’ll be making a decent salary for myself in 3 years and doing what I love. That sounds pretty damn good to me, yet I get a score of 238…

All-in-all, the test might be pretty flawed and not so useful but it is kind of fun to do anyway. Plus the site could be a good place to meet other entrepreneurs/innerpreneurs.
