build your path one day at a time

There’s a whole lot of shit that you can’t control, but you can control how you respond to it. Adaptability is more than simply rolling with the punches — it’s about being able to calmly, intelligently and readily respond to circumstances. As a business owner, it’s important for you to be able to collect yourself and take control of whatever situation your way. A self-sustaining business is one that is proactive. Don’t wait for all the chips to fall before reacting.

But keep your eyes on the prize

Keep your long-term goals in mind, as they’ll help you to respond to situations in ways that keep you on your path and aligned with your aspirations.

It seems to me that an important key to running a self-sustaining, organic business is to strategically adapt to the world around you. Figure out what you want and constantly make natural adjustments in your business that support those goals.

On your path, keep your head up, take note of what’s around you and what’s changing. Being proactive about responding to changes will remove potential obstructions before they are realized.

    Tara,
I thoroughly enjoy your perspective on long-term aspirations and the ability to adapt when unexpected circumstances arise. It can be a bit challenging to tackle, but the more levelheaded and realistic you remain throughout can mean the difference between success and failure. You could a) either just give up in the face of disaster, b) just forge ahead and utilize your past experience and roll with the outcome, or c) just forge ahead and deal with whatever happens, good or bad. Either way, if you choose b or c, it's almost a guarantee you will make some forward progress, and have self satisfaction during the same moment.
I must say, I am quite intrigued on your perspective and courage to just go at with you "Innerpreneur" idea, for it brings inspiration to the forefront. I must say, you are quite good at developing new ideas, and present your thoughts in a clear and concise manner. I always look forward to your post, and it helps me, an "innerpreneur" make a more stable attempt at coming out of my shell. I do not have a business currently, but I consider my being as a business, and websites such as yours provides me the ammunition to make my way out of my shell, promote myself better in general, and work towards the potential of creating my own business some day! Keep up the awesome work my friend, and good luck with your latest venture(s)!! LostinTranslation (LIT)
