I don’t know a damn thing about leading a group meetup. What’s a great way to break the ice? I was thinking we’d each introduce our self and our business… and go from there. Do I need more structure?

  • Try something a little different from the same old ho-hum name and business. Since it's the season, how about asking each person to tell a short, scary story - something about themselves or their business. Or forewarn everyone that you want them to describe the value provided by their business in just 6 words. Make it creative and fun. If you can get everyone laughing at the start, it will all fall into place as you go.

  • I'm so pleased that you like my idea. I've used the "6 words" with one of my networking groups and it was a great imagination stretcher. People can't fall back on their old, over used, well rehearsed elevator speech. Have a great Meet Up!
