Mike, you've got it exactly. Business knowledge is great, and CAN be
extremely helpful in running a business, but the bottom line is a
business is not going to be successful (what success means is up to
that person) unless the people behind the business are sincere in its
purpose and committed to it's growth. If they aren't, even the best
idea won't work because the people behind it are fundamentally missing
something, and perhaps that something is simply authentic passion. I
feel like the demand for quality people is especially strong now and
growing stronger as the web demands business transparency. Snakes in
the grass should start slithering away as fast as they can!

Tara,
If ,I understand you correctly what you are trying to say is the following:
You are saying that what makes someone a success is not so much the
knowledge but the person behind the knowledge.
You can be educated in all aspects of business, but if you are
not doing what you love, then that knowledge really does not mean really
anything.

Success is not determined by what you know but rather the kind of person
that you are. The ‘Quality of a person’ is more important than his / her education.
That is how I understood your post. I tend to agree with your paradoxical personality.
Someone can be very educated and still be stupid. What is of greater value
is what someone does with that education. They can take that knowledge and
shape into something amazing. Most unfortunately do not.
‘29’
Do you want to improve the world?
I don’t think it can be done.

The world is sacred.
It can’t be improved.
If you tamper with it, you’ll ruin it.
If you treat it like an object, you’ll lose it….

A good warning in our ‘technological age’. This sort of assertiveness has to be rejected
By all means. It must not strive to conquer nature, or other human beings, but live harmoniously with them.

Hope all is well.
