PRESIDENT of ENGAGE AFRICA FOUNDATION

I am:

a dreamer girl who laughs a lot, asks too many questions, has a curious case of wanderlust and loves to get people together to get amazing things done.

My passion is for:

sharing ideas, connecting deeply, and the growth and expression of myself and everyone around me.

My business helps you:

Engage Africa Foundation was in response to my frustration that no one was talking about how chronic diseases are poised to be the leading cause of death in Africa. It helps you to be a part of the solution, to explore your gifts, and to gain experience.

Street-Side Convos is a new space for people with entrepreneurial ideas get to peek into the journey of others like themselves and hopefully know they already have what it takes to use their heart, creativity and ‘different-ness’ to make the world a better place.

I have other businesses too. Others are online products, and an organic herbal tea business (Eby’s Tea Africana). I and my father (Uche Mogo) found that the ‘zobo’ plant is great for fighting chronic diseases and boosting immunity so we have a business and a factory run mostly with solar energy in Lagos, Nigeria to reduce unemployment, build the economy sustainably, and to contribute to healthier lifestyles in Nigeria.

I am also in the business of playing with words too. My poetry tries to make words of the spaces in my own soul and hopefully draw others into theirs.

My biggest challenge is:

Finding the best way to bring all the aspects of myself together without overthinking things. I’m still figuring out my vocation. Sometimes I feel like a cat chasing a laser pointer and it overwhelms me – see here:

I make a difference by:

Being myself.

I have lots of ideas about:

solving problems, making things better, stories, helping people around me achieve their dreams.

I’ve learned:

That any pursuit that is worthwhile has to bring us face to face with ourselves. And not to be afraid of that.

A favourite quote of mine:

Criticize by creating. – Michelangelo

I am:

A social entrepreneur.

My passion is for:

Connecting the world’s most creative and practical solutions to communities with systematically unmet needs.

My business helps you:

By engaging you in your global community, allowing you to utilize your networks, resources and knowledge to make the world a better place.

My biggest challenge is:

Winning over the pessimists.

I make a difference by:

Recognizing a gap in international development work and building a operational model that breeds sustainability and collaboration.

I have lots of ideas about:

How to engage communities in solving their own problems.

I’ve learned:

It’s always more difficult that it seems. You should expect that, plow through the challenges and more often than not there is a light at the end of the tunnel…it’s just that the tunnel is a lot longer than most people anticipate.

I am:

An insufferably curious recovering conformist.

My passion is for:

Establishing a lifestyle for my family and I which intertwines seamlessly between business, charity, family time, & adventurous endeavors.

My business helps you:

Provide, maintain, and/or restore independence and quality of life for those that have mobility limitations, chronic pain conditions, or other physical issues. We do this by finding the right medical devices for people to assist them, and by repairing, maintaining, and upgrading their existing devices.

My biggest challenge is:

See #2 :>) Probably narrowing down the projects I’d like to get involved with from a business perspective. I’ve found since starting that once you began to creatively problem solve and come up with ideas, it’s actually quite a challenge to shut it down a bit and focus on the action part.

I make a difference by:

The way I go about interacting with people in each job or situation that arises. I’m not a “traditional” artist of any type; can’t carry a tune, draw a straight line, or strum a guitar. My art if you will, is that I feel I do an excellent job of treating each job and client as unique and reading them accurately to see how to best approach their particular problem or challenge. This is really the most important natural skill that I possess.

I have lots of ideas about:

Running a conventional business in unique and non-conventional ways. It’s one thing to be considered unique when you have labels like “digital nomad” or “location independent”. I believe it’s a bit more challenging when you do something more mainstream in a different way.

I’ve learned:

You can’t be everything to everyone. However, you can build networks of responsible service providers to work together with and help people with as many different types of needs within your industry as possible.

Arn (Zingdad) Allingham: April 2013 Innerpreneur Spotlight

Zingdad

Arn (Zingdad) Allingham
Dreamer, author, healer, and tea boy
Zingdad.com

I am:

The other you.

Beyond that I am an awakening soul working hard to remember who I REALLY am. And as I do so, so I discover, I cannot help but to also assist others around me to awaken and remember who THEY really are too! I write, I share and engage. I offer healing. And I live the most blissful self-sustainable life in an off-the-grid home in a beautiful mountainous forest in sunny South Africa.

My passion is for:

Reminding those who are ready to remember of who they really are: an eternal, immortal creator being of infinite power!

My business helps you:

What I do is centered around helping you to discover exactly that: that you are indeed an eternal, immortal creator being of infinite power. I do this by helping you to deal with your fears, pain and self-limiting beliefs so that you are willing to awaken to the magnificence of your own being. I walk the journey with you as you discover that this is really true. I help you to heal, to awaken, to be all that you truly are.

My biggest challenge is:

I am, as I have mentioned, the “other you”. I am a human being with human frailties to overcome. It is poetic that my biggest challenge is believing in MY magnificence, is it not? They say we teach that which we most desire to learn!

I make a difference by:

I have written and published a book called The Ascension Papers. The intention of this book was to help readers to make their way from victim to creator. The over-abundant volume of feedback I have received is that it does exactly that! I am busy writing my second book now.

I also have an “ascension school” which is about creating a real-life hands-on journey that you can engage with as you seek to discover, in your own personal experience, that you are one with the Oneness and the creator of your own life.

Beyond that I offer a one-on-one healing modality called Soul Re-Integration in which I assist clients to heal their inner-pain and discover and release ancient trauma. It is a deeply transformative journey.

I have lots of ideas about:

Connecting, healing, being an agent of love and helping without rescuing. Oneness. Discovering and living your potential.

I’ve learned:

The single greatest truth I have discovered is that All is truly One. We are all, really, one with each other, one with the planet and one with Life. We are all creating our own experiences. Mostly we don’t know this and mostly we are hard at work confounding ourselves by creating what we DON’T want. But that can be corrected! If we are willing to heal our own inner-pain and release the blockages in our souls then we all can (and will) find our way to creating with beauty love and joy. Fear and pain have their place… but they are optional! And because All is One, what you do to another you do to yourself also. It is possible, with a little work and awareness, to move your life to a place where you are only expressing that which is most congruent with your Soul’s Purpose. When you do you will be putting out awesome magnificent stuff 24/7. And Life will feed that back to you multiplied. It is not just possible but inevitable. Follow your heart and you will get there. And if you are stuck, come and find me on my website… I might be able to help!

I have lots of ideas about:
