How Will I Know When I Get to Perfect?

This is space to share my musings—unformed ideas, collections of words that catch my fancy, that sort of thing. I'm the author of Pay What It's Worth and the Cross My Heart series.

Perfection Not

Trying to be good enough for Them, I’ve created an image of perfection that I do not fit. Seeing the truth of not being perfect, I reject myself.

Getting older, I see that “perfect” is no longer about being good enough for Them — it’s about being good enough for my Self. I can’t seem to forgive myself for not being what I believe I should be. As defined by Me, and helped shaped by Them.

And this “perfect” I seek, if I was asked to describe it, I couldn’t. So, how will I know when I get there?
