Wishing You A Joyful Holidays

Wishing You A Joyful Holidays

holiday2016

Hello dear reader,

I realize I don’t often address you directly, do I? That feels funny since you are such a gift to me. <3

Most of the time, I write these words because I am experiencing something in my own life and I need my words, and playing with them, to feel into the experience. I find the whole process of writing, editing, and publishing what I need to express supportive and therapeutic. When I learn these words I need so much to enjoy and explore myself, are touching you too, it feels like the most beautiful gift. The generosity you show by reading and supporting them, and in turn me, I am so grateful for. Your care is an invaluable gift and I am so very grateful for you.

May you have a joy-filled Holiday season and may 2017 be filled with abundance for all.

Sending you lots of love and festive cheer,

Merry Christmas!

Christmas2015_2
I love this time of year as people all around the world are celebrating for many reasons. Collectively, it is indeed a very special and sacred time. Whatever festival of light you personally choose to celebrate, may it fill you with love and light, and may the new year bring you much inner peace, joy, and prosperity.

I am so grateful for you! Merry Christmas!

If I Deserve It

If I Deserve It

Judge

Despite my best efforts to prove the contrary, what I do (or do not) deserve is not in my jurisdiction. I don’t get to decide whether I am worth it. When Life provides me with something wonderful, it’s not my job (or right) to decide if I deserve it. That decision has already been made.

What I (or anyone) deserves is not in my authority. I am not the judge.

When I reject the good things in my life, when I decide something is too good to be mine, I am choosing my unconscious feelings of unworthiness. I’m deciding I’m not worth it, and I don’t deserve it. And if I’m not careful, I’m going to sabotage myself out of the gift I’m being offered.

It’s not in my jurisdiction to judge my worthiness. Whether I accept the gift or not, it’s already been offered to me. Not feeling I deserve it is besides the point.

Choosing gratitude.

To bypass these nagging questions of worthiness, and to grow the good things I receive from Life, I’m improving my focus on gratitude. When I look to my gratitude, I see how it supports me in avoiding the rejection and sabotage my unworthiness creates. In choosing to be grateful for, rather than questioning, what I deserve, I gracefully accept my gift and bypass my unworthiness.

Standing in my gratitude, I understand the truth — this gift is mine to have. Life has deemed it so. Whether I am deserving or not, my real work is to accept this gift with as much grace as I can.

Asking For Support

Asking For Support

Fund Pay What it's Worth

I’ve heard it before. Maybe you have too.

I’ve heard that in order to truly thrive, as a business owner, and as as human, I need to learn to ask for what I need.

I need to ask for support.

I’ve heard it before, and I’ll hear it again.

And I’ll keep on hearing it because it’s true.

And because it’s a lesson I need to learn.

I need others in order to thrive. I can’t do it alone.

We can’t do it alone.

I need your help.

And you need mine.

However we choose to offer it to each other, our support connects us.

As a reader, my words support you; as a writer, you support me by experiencing my words.

I need your support to grow, just as you need mine.

I need to ask you for what I need, just as you need to ask me.

And whether it is provided it a whole other story, and entirely not the point.

The point is the recognition and the asking.

So here I go… deep breathe…

Would you like to support my crowdfunding campaign for “Pay What It’s Worth”? I self-published the book and I need your support in funding the creation of printed softcover and ebook formats.

You’ll be rewarded for your contribution with a copy of the book (and other lovely rewards), and help enable an evolution in the way we do business and make purchases. The campaign ends on August 8 at midnight.

For the next four days, to support of the final days of my campaign, I will be publishing an article each day in support of you, in hopes that you may support me too.

I love you. Thank you for supporting my writing by reading.
