When Humans Attack!

There was nothing in the world I feared more then when humans attack.

So much so, that for a long time, I did my best to avoid humans altogether. To avoid them meant I wouldn’t be attacked.

I’d be safe.

But, the attacks still happened, despite my attempt to control and prevent them. No matter what I did, I couldn’t control how you behaved.

Takers Gonna Take

It’s really lovely to know that through giving freely, I can inspire someone to be more giving.

Sometimes though, I encounter a person who consciously (or unconsciously) feels free to consistently take more than they give.

I need to watch my balance with them. For as much as I love to give, and to encourage it, I don’t enjoy feeling used.

With this kind of person, I need to check in with my giving self, and be honest about who they are and what they want from me.

I’m excited to share my fourth creation in the nutshell series, clarifying my website strategy!

I’ve created this exercise to support you in clearly identifying why you are building your website and who it will serve.

The workbook is 31 pages and includes 15 probing questions to expanding your thinking on your web presence. Here’s a peek at what you’ll explore:

A Theory on Growing Up

Your Box
I’ve been thinking a lot lately on what it means to grow up. Perhaps this is because I am now in my early 30’s, and I feel this is a time in my life where I am learning to let go of childish behaviors, while still maintaining my childlike wonder.

This is my theory on what growing up is all about – I think it’s about learning to love, manage and keep your stuff in your box.

For me growing up is about learning to care for and love your box (your Self) and all the crazy beautiful stuff you find inside of it. It’s also about learning that you do not need, nor want, to take on other people’s stuff and put it into your box.

Speak Up and Share Your Wisdom

For the non-bloggers in our tribe. This article is for those of us who have yet to use the web to speak up. As I mentioned earlier, I am traveling to Nicaragua in late January and I am looking for guest writers to contribute to Rise of the Innerpreneur while I am gone. If you have yet to write for the web, I would be honoured if you would take this opportunity to speak up and share your wisdom with your fellow innerpreneurs.

The web is a funny invention. Many cry that it has ruined writing. That all the CU L8R’s and excessive !!!!!! are a travesty to the English language. But I disagree. As the web is the first medium that has allowed the individual to easily share their unique perspective with the world. Before it, we could only shine our light on those in direct proximity to us.

But now we have computers and Internet connections and the ability to interact with people from all over the world. And even better, we have the ability to share our wisdom with people who are seeking to benefit from it.
